Call them what you will, but know that Mattearley is one of them. Now, let me take a moment to clarify. His real-life name is Matt Earley. Sargent Matthew Thomas Earley. Staff Sarg according to Dave. We often confuse people, because we typically refer to him as simply "Mattearley". It just works, doesn't it?

Well, Mattearley is in town! Actually, he's on his way out of town, but don't worry- he'll be back. He'll probably be a regular visitor over the next couple of months, and we're thrilled! He is marrying the lovely Arrington Pell on April 17 and he has tons of changes in the works between now and then! He has served for almost 6 years in the Marine Corps and has completed two tours of duty in Iraq. He was David's college roommate for all 4 years, and they love each other.See? Can't you just feel the love?

My dad, being the proud Marine that he is, was thrilled to know that David's bestest good friend was a fellow Marine. While Matt was serving overseas, my dad was faithful to write him (even though they had never met). That is one thing I really treasure about my dad. He is so thoughtful.
