Lawson is {8 months}

Weight- 17 lbs. 12 oz.
Height- ???
Lawson, at eight months old you:
  • like to shriek. Like, really, really loudly. Sometimes it makes the monitor wig out because the decibel is too high for it to register.
  • deal with separation anxiety when we try to leave you in the church nursery. I haven't been to church in weeks...
  • basically you want ME to hold you all the time. You have serious stranger danger.
  • eat so much food. You LOVE to eat, and you haven't met anything we've offered you that you didn't enjoy (including the marshmallow Daddy gave you...)
  • still love to be held, are super grabby, and think Crawford hung the moon.
  • still want to be totally mobile, but to our surprise you aren't yet. Just in the last day you've started crawling backwards, and you rock on all fours so I know forward is coming soon. You're super frustrated by this! Oh, but you CAN get yourself from your belly to sitting up! I'm waiting for you to do it in your crib because we'll totally have to lower it immediately.
  • have gotten better in the sleep department, but you're inconsistent. You go through phases of sleeping great, then something rocks your boat and you're up at night a bunch again. I've stuck to my guns and typically don't nurse you in the night (so Daddy helps when you wake up too!), but we did set the pack and play up in the guest room so sometimes we move you in there so as to not wake Crawford as much.
  • were dedicated to the Lord at church this month. Unfortunately it wasn't a personal service like we were able to do with Crawford, but our hearts were no less serious about committing to raise you in a Christ centered home.
  • are sitting up solidly. I love this milestone.
  • pretty much need your lovey to fall asleep. We have totally trained both of you boys to be like that, and I'm not sad about it.
  • are the best! We love you buddy. Ps- sorry I haven't done monthly pictures with you. To make up for it, here are a zillion pics of our every day life. I think that's better anyway ;).
