cousins visit

Last weekend the Johnsons stopped in for a weekend visit on their way to vacation in Gatlinburg. We finished the new room literally hours before their arrival, and boy were we glad to have that out of our hair for their visit! They have had a new baby (Hadley!) since they were here last, so their four kiddos and our one made for a fun and lively weekend. We had such a great time together. The twins and Crawford are into just about the same stuff, so they played well "together" (C is still learning how to share...). It was so fun having a new baby around too. Crawford didn't care much about her, but when he periodically noticed her he just said "baby!" and moved on. We'll see how he feels when baby Lawson never leaves... 

Saturday night Jim and Cathy were passing through town on their way from Florida to Ohio, so we got to all be together for dinner. What a special treat!

Wrangling the four kids (and the six adults) for some family pictures on the beach was no small feat, so the fact that any of these look halfway decent is a miracle. 

PS- maybe it's time I learn how to use my camera.

PPS- first morning pictures turned into late morning, also known as nap time, also known as bright sun in your eyes slash shadows on your face time.

Thanksgiving week in Sanibel

We just got back from five glorious days together in Sanibel with David's family. As usual, I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have, nor did I take pictures that accurately represent the way we spent our time. Oh well. 

Since the pictures don't recap our trip... We did a lot of baby playing, neighborhood (and island) walking, bike riding, beach visiting, pool swimming, donut eating, puzzle making and family hanging.

Easter fun

We had such a fun Easter weekend. David's family came down from Ohio and up from Florida to hang out and meet Crawford, and in between having lots of diapers to change and babies to feed we did other fun stuff!

David is the best uncle. She was so anxious to dye eggs, and he did the whole shebang with her. 

On Saturday, we went to a big Easter festival at a church nearby. They had egg hunts by age group and several huge inflatables. Brianna had a blast (Harley tagged along because someone was showing our house while we were gone)!

Best uncle at it again... he raced Brianna in this obstacle course several times, but he gave her a run for her money. He is going to be such a fun dad!

The Linhosses and Bogensbergers were there too!
