Lawson is {7 months}

Weight- 16 lbs., 8 oz.
Height- ???

Lawson, at seven months old you:
  • are super wiggly. You like to face the action and be a part of it as much as possible.
  • are super grabby. Nothing is safe around you (hair, jewelry, faces) because you will grab it.
  • want to be mobile! This is so new to me since Crawford was totally content to sit still for many more months, but I guess you want to keep up with him and all his toys!
  • love Crawford, loud noises and (surprisingly) being scared.
  • prefer to be held. Like, as much as possible. You're happy in the exersaucer for about 6 minutes, but then you want out.
  • LOOOOOVE food. You so badly want to eat everything in sight. We're doing baby led weaning like we did with Crawford, so straight to table food you go! You've devoured asparagus, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, avocados and bananas. I just gave you puffs yesterday (mostly to work on hand eye coordination), and you killed them!
  • are a strong willed little man. You fight going to sleep (except at bed time when you're way super tired), so we have a bit of a wrestling match (literally... you are STRONG) to get you to lay on your side or tummy and then you'll relax and fall asleep.
  • still usually hate getting into the car seat.
  • have said "mama" in a way that makes me call it your first word :) I may be totally wrong, but I'm going with it.
  • sleep in your crib, in your room, 100% of the time. We had company over Easter weekend so you slept in our room, but when they left we took the pack and play down for the first time in 7 months! Our (tiny) room feels huge!
  • can't self soothe. Or find your paci and put it in your mouth. You sleep awesome from about 7-4 (sometimes earlier), but then you wake up and just need your paci and sometimes someone to rub your back. I thought we'd be past this by now, but I'm sure it's because we've coddled you and trained you to be this way.  C'est la vie.
  • seriously LOVE Crawford. He is BRUTAL with you, and you don't ever ever mind. He splashes you in the face with bath water and you laugh your head off. In fact, lots of big kids are kind of rough with you and you take it like a champ.

You are so so sweet and smiley and our little lovey.  Crawford loves you as much as your dad and I do and we couldn't be more thankful for these past seven months.
