4th of July festivities

Our long weekend (which turned out to be extra long for me since I spent Friday with KJ!) was awesome. If we weren't with the Rochas, we were at the lake with the Bryants. So basically, we got to do all of our favorite things.

Saturday night we went with the Bryant & Hudson clans to the White's house for their annual 3rd of July party.
Wowzer.
There were ~150 people and enough food to feed a small army. They live on the lake and have made a tradition out of throwing this big bash, concluding with a fireworks display to top all others. I'm not kidding you... it was one of the biggest fireworks shows I have ever seen! 45 minutes of professional grade stuff being launched off right in front of us. In addition to the crowd watching from the yard, we counted 50 boats parked nearby. Seriously, it was nuts. I didn't take any pictures of the fireworks because, well... we've all seen fireworks and they all look the same (in a picture at least).

Is there anything cuter than a toothless grin on a 6 (and a half) year old?
MA was totally snugly during the entire thing, and I contemplated taking her home with us.

Love this boy! More and more each year.
I look like I'm smothering him.

They are gorgeous! Mary Shelton's boyfriend Pat was here for the weekend, and we loved getting to hang out with them together!

Sunday we went to church and experienced an amazing service. Pam and Michael Rozell (any relation, Emily??) of Potter's Field Ministries delivered the message through a powerful combination of speaking, singing and pottery.

Sunday afternoon we went back to the lake and hung out with the Bryants and Mosiers for the afternoon. We came into town for a bit to see the Rochas, and Hayden came with us. I wish I had taken a picture of her holding sweet KJ. We're training her now so when we have kids she can be our go-to babysitter! We spent the night at the lake and enjoyed watching fireworks that night and waking up to jump onto the water. Lake life is the best!
