friend-filled weekend

We had a weekend full of friends! Friday night Megan (aka- Margo) came over for taco night and catching up! We had SO much fun with her (and we missed you, Ash!). Megan is leaving in August for a year in India and we are so proud of her and excited for her!



Also on Friday night, Ryan Davis and his girlfriend Ellen spent the night. Ryan is the dock daddy at camp this summer and his precious girlfriend was in town visiting from Lexington. As soon as they got there, I felt like Ellen was a good friend. We loved having them for the weekend and hope they come back!


Saturday morning we had the BEST treat. My dear, sweet, best camp friend Batch (ok, ok, her name is Laura Lonergan) was in town! We had breakfast with her, Tim and their friend from Emory. Camp friends never cease to amaze me. Batch and I haven't spent time together in a while, but we had no trouble picking up right where we left off. We are so similar and have so much to talk about every time we are together. I am awed by the way the Lord has blessed us through camp. I love Batch!!

Also this weekend, we:

• tried our hand at parenting by babysiting baby Kate (also known as, the perfect baby) for most of Saturday
• went furniture shopping for the new room
• got more and more excited for the new room to be complete. Carpet goes in TODAY folks! Expect a loooong post tomorrow detailing this project!

and I:

• had a women's brunch for work
• finished my new bedding!!
• made some pioneer woman pies that were a hit
