one year ago today...

I started my job at UTC.
I officially began my life in Chattanooga.
I met with three girls to start a Bible study.
...some of whom become my very best friends in a matter of minutes.

One year later I am reflecting on all that has transpired in a mere 365 days.

I became a Moc!
I got two monitors for my computer.
I learned a new job, with new people and new faces.
I became friends with sweet new co-workers who look out for me.
I won a community-wide award for organizing a campus-wide campaign.
Now, on my one-year anniversary at UTC, I have exciting job related news! But not mine :)
David got a new job!

I am SO excited to tell the world (ok, the 6 people who read my blog... who already know about this anyway) how PROUD I am of him! He will be a Cost Control Specialist at Volkswagen Chattanooga beginning on June 22. VW coming to Chattanooga has been such big news, and we are so thrilled that David gets to be a part of a company with such enormous growth potential. He is one of the first 100 employees of VW Chattanooga- and they will have 2,000 in town by 2011 when they start making cars! I keep telling people that the thing I am most excited about is for David to be appreciated. They have already shown such an appreciation for his skills and his talents, that I know he will be valued.

This is an enormous answer to prayer, and we are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with this new opportunity.

YEAH, David! You rock, babe!!

ok, so I totally meant to comment on here several days ago, but WAY TO GO DAVID! and WAY TO GO YOU for conquering your first year and doing way more fun and good things during it than I'm sure you ever imagined!

It is so incredibly cool to me that the Lord has you working at UTC- because I love UTC and am so proud to be an alumni of the school. just don't call me for cash. haha!

Does this mean you'll have to buy a VW?

And also, just to let you know, I really want to have lunch with you soon. I'm going to give you a call tomorrow or Tuesday.

Finally, (last thing I promise) I really love your new page background!

this is such wonderful news. i'm so very proud of David - and for you as I know it is a result of your love and support for him. less than two months until your one year anniversary!
