21 months

Crawford, at 22 months you:
  • said your first sentence- "Where is it?" (in reference to the iPad) and lots of two word phrases ("fire on/off", "coffee hot", "Thomas coming", "Daddy's cereal").
  • say these words that are my favorites: whistle, lips, applesauce
  • can count 1-10, and identify all of them. We hear you do it in your crib, and sometimes randomly while you're playing buy you'll rarely do it on command.
  • say "ask" when you want something. It's one of our favorite things you say right now!
  • can identify all the letters. You're a smarty Jones.
  • love playing with trains and cars, watching Thomas ("Comas") and football, being scared and having a fire in the fireplace.
  • are getting even more athletic, which I didn't think was possible. You can make baskets on your little hoop from three + feet away. Over and over again. You can dribble a soccer ball clear across the yard and throw a football with a spiral and accuracy.
  • really seem to be a lefty.
  • have been enjoying coloring, painting and sidewalk chalk.
  • are learning colors and shapes. So far you say everything is yellow, but you have circle, heart and star down pat.
  • get spanked quite frequently. You really push the envelope on obeying.
  • have a fiery temper, and when things don't go your way you freak.out. We have experienced some ridiculous temper tantrums. At home I just let you melt down then you get over it and move on. Still trying to figure out how to handle that in public… advice welcome!
  • say "excuse me" when someone burps or farts (hilarious) and "bless you" when someone sneezes.
  • parrot everything we say.
  • associate Ashley with treats. When she comes over you run to the pantry and beg for one until she caves (and she always caves). You LOVE her and Uncle Bill (but Uncle Bill the most :)).
  • say "yes, ma'am" and "no, sir", but usually not the other way around.
  • still put everything in your mouth. It is clearly the way you explore things, and it makes me a crazy person.
