(We go to the doctor next Friday, and I'll fill in the official stats then)

Taking your picture this month was particularly impossible... Fortunately Becca took some amazing pics of you that we'll always treasure!

Crawford, at one year old you:
  • love playing with a puzzle (that Jessica gave you before you were born!).
  • roll trucks and cars across the ground.
  • turn on and off light switches.
  • say doggie (sounds like "augie") and bow wow wow (what a doggie says).
  • put things inside bowls and containers. You're actually really helpful in cleaning up, because you will put things away when I help you.
  • say bath a lot. Once you master saying a new word, you forget about it and move on. For example, you never say mama or dada anymore. You say bath and crawl into our bathroom and turn the water on about 12 times a day.
  • you love the bath. Specifically, you love playing with the water coming out of the faucet. After we turn it off, you stand up and make us nervous so we go quickly after that.
  • point the remote at the tv and push the buttons.
  • cross your little ankles when you eat or are sitting down playing.
  • are obsessed with eating bananas.
  • have a new growl noise you like to make.
  • walk with your push toy, but aren't close to actually walking. I think you have a few months to go still.
  • have had a runny nose for what seems like ever... and your drool is incessant. Still, no new teeth.
  • have two favorite books that we could read over and over and over again. You've loved these two (train book and thankful book... not sure what they are actually called) for months now without deviation. You do love to play with other books, but you won't sit still for us to read any to you except these two.
  • like for us to lift you up so you can put the ball in the basketball hoop.

This year has been the fastest and greatest of our lives, little boy! You have given us more joy than we thought possible. Having you has given us such a tiny glimpse of the way the Lord loves us, guides us and gives us grace for each new day. We praise HIM for the past 365 wonderful days of your sweet little life.
